Copenhagen-based Jazz-hybrid collective Jiyu, produced by guitar player and composer Emil Jonathan Soeegaard aka Low Pressure and Stereo Deluxe recording artist EMO, collaborates with flugelhorn player Bo Rande (Mames Babegenush) on this soulfull track, mixing elements of the contemporary electronic beat scene with soaring horn breeze, dense upright bass and weightless ambient vibraphone and Jazz guitar clouds, in a step out at the forefront of instrumental hip-hop-influenced fusion-style Jazz. In contrast to the first two, far more electronic, and psychedelic EP’s from Jiyu, this is a chilled, organic, long, warm embrace.
